Jonathan brings over 25 years of Educational IT experience, having worked within various Local Authorities before joining Pennine Education in 2015. Prior to this, he was the Technical Lead for the Families and Wellbeing Directorate & Schools at Warrington Borough Council. In this role, he managed a large, multi-disciplinary IT team, which included the award-winning, Capita Accredited SIMS Support Team. Jonathan was instrumental in leading on IT strategy, service delivery, and system development for schools across the borough. He is ITIL and Prince 2 qualified, with extensive experience in delivering complex, large-scale Local Authority projects within agreed timescales and budgets. Jonathan is a qualified and highly experienced MIS Consultant and trainer, with a wealth of knowledge across a wide range of SIMS modules. He has delivered training and consultancy services to schools, academies, and local authorities, and has presented electives at the SIMS National Conference. His specialist areas include SIMS Core, Personnel, Reporting, SEN, Behaviour Management, and Statutory Returns such as the School Census and School Workforce Census. He is also skilled in supporting data analysis, developing bespoke reports, and offering practical solutions to schools' data management challenges. In addition to his SIMS expertise, Jonathan has achieved Accredited Support status for both Arbor and Bromcom MIS systems, allowing him to offer multi-system support and guidance to schools transitioning between platforms or using multiple MIS systems. Jonathan prides himself on his approachable manner and his ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and accessible way. He is passionate about building strong working relationships with schools, understanding their individual needs, and delivering a responsive, high-quality support service.
